After years of dedication, sacrifice, and sweat, Julio Sauce an undocumented immigrant, lines up at the NYC marathon to compete against the world’s most elite runners in an attempt to be the fastest man in New York City.

Synopsis

Julio Sauce came to the U.S. from the Ecuadorean Andes fifteen years ago searching for a better life. Having never run before, Julio saw the New York City marathon on TV and said ‘One day, I’m going to do that.’ In the midst of a struggling to make ends meet, working long and hard days in the back of a kitchen, and raising a family, Julio manages to run up to 80 miles a week in preparation for the biggest race in the world, the New York City Marathon.
